I just wanted to share a little slice of life with you guys! In a previous post I talked about freezing an Extreme Kong for my lab Wyatt (I also freeze a small classic cong for my pomeranian Jake) in order to keep him occupied when I need to focus on something. Here he is in the backseat of the car on a recent family road trip going at it! And yes, he put the Kong in the cupholder by himself so it would quit sliding around. :)

Insight into your dog's way of thinking: Dog Property Laws- Author Unknown 1. If I like it, it’s mine. 2. If its in my mouth, it’s mine. 3. If I can take it from you, it’s mine. 4. If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine. 5. If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way. 6. If I’m chewing something up, all the pieces are mine. 7. If it looks like mine, it’s mine. 8. If I saw it first, it’s mine. 9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine. |

Have you been looking for a way to keep your dog occupied for longer stretches of time so you can do things around the house without those doggie eyes making you feel guilty of "neglect"? Here is what I use: Extreme Kong, Large
For my lab, I keep his Extreme Kong in the freezer, stuffed with fun treats like a little peanut butter, some of his dog food, chicken, baby food or any food or treat that is approved by a vet for him to eat and can be cut up into small pieces. |

We have all had those moments while walking our dogs where you get a split second to think "Not AGAIN!" before your dog starts going crazy. Even when your dog typically walks well on a leash, it's likely that there is even something, whether it's an orange cone, a child, or a small animal, that when you see it you just want to groan out load because you know your dog is about to put on a show for the neighbors. Whether you have a large breed or small breed, those moments can make you want to pull your hair out. |
